Assetto Corsa Competizione has 54 cars and 25 tracks, but only if you purchase further expansion sets outside of the main, base game.
If additional car types and classes or more up-to-date GT3 machinery are of interest, then extra downloadable content is required for an additional cost. The same is true, too, for further venues.
DLC for Competizione is not available individually, but rather placed within packs – and it is not immediately clear what’s included in each.
Base Game - $/€39.99
There are 11 tracks and 26 cars in Assetto Corsa Competizione.
The official simulation of the real-world GT World Challenge (formerly Blancpain) motorsport events, all content is restricted to SRO-affiliated competitions.
But, there are no famed Nürburgring Nordschleife or GT2 category cars, for instance, included.
As the initial base experience was released in 2019 (following a period of early access), several of the big-ticket items were added later via DLC packs.
Intercontinental GT Pack - $/€14.99
Best see this is a track-pack (some 2019-season liveries are thrown in). This is an essential purchase as it includes some of the best circuits available for ACC. All four are regularly used by sim racing communities.
- Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit
- Mount Panorama (Bathurst)
- Suzuka Circuit
- Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca
GT4 Pack - $/€19.99
This pack is the only way to access any GT4-spec (slower than GT3) cars in Competizione and does not include any tracks.
Mercifully, all 11 are in one set, so if you’re looking for an entry-level vehicle to get up to speed with, this is a solid purchase. But, word of warning, most online communities stick to the GT3 cars.
- Alpine A110 GT4
- Aston Martin Vantage GT4
- Audi R8 LMS GT4
- BMW M4 GT4
- Chevrolet Camaro GT4R
- Ginetta G55 GT4
- KTM X-Bow GT4
- Maserati MC GT4
- Mclaren 570S GT4
- Mercedes AMG GT4
- Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport
2020 GT World Challenge Pack - $/€8.99
It’s not immediately obvious from this set’s name, but aside from including 2020-season driver rosters and livery designs, there are two key cars and a track included in this pack.
A purchase gains access to the Italian Imola venue, plus the most up-to-date version of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 (EVO). Both are used extensively in multiplayer.
It also includes the 2020 EVO-spec Ferrari 488 GT3 car too - although this has been superseded by the 296 GT3. More on that, later.
- Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari - Imola track
- Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO 2020
- Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO (2020)
British GT Pack - $/€12.99
Once again, another DLC group that includes outdated paint schemes and British GT-specific rosters. Of more value, however, are three venues.
Donington and Oulton are particularly special, the latter a stern challenge and popular among communities, although many find Snetterton to be a bit too flat and homogenous.
- Donington Park Circuit
- Oulton Park Circuit
- Snetterton Circuit
Challengers Pack - $/€10.99
The Challengers Pack is purely a car add-on with five vehicles included.
This is how you gain access to the most recent Audi R8 GT3 specification as it is not available separately.
The other vehicles are all ‘one-make’, as in they don’t fit into GT3, GT4 or GT2 categories. These can be used for single-car competitions, the 911 Cup and M2 CS in particular have a loyal following.
If you are looking for a ‘complete’ GT2 grid (explained later), then this is where the Ferrari and Lamborghini reside, strangely.
- Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II
- BMW M2 CS Racing
- Ferrari 488 GT3 Challenge Evo
- Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO 2
- Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992)
American Track Pack - $/€17.99
Rather obviously, this pack includes the majority of American venues within ACC. Three are in this set, plus Laguna Seca in the aforementioned Intercontinental GT Pack. Watkins Glen, here, is a particular highlight.
- Circuit of the Americas (COTA)
- Indianapolis Motor Speedway
- Watkins Glen International
2023 GT World Challenge Pack - $/€12.99
This pack is ideal for the majority of ACC racers, as it includes the current-spec Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini GT3 cars - a must for fans of this category who race competitively.
It also bundles in a track, Valencia - which is… pretty, but not the best track for racing as it’s tricky to overtake.
- Circuit Ricardo Tormo - Valencia
- Ferrari 296 GT3
- Porsche 911 (992) GT3 R
- Lamborghini Huracàn EVO2
GT2 Pack - $/€17.99
Not only does this set include the GT2 category vehicles – which have a similar pace to GT3, but with less aero and more power – but this is how you obtain the Red Bull Ring venue.
In some ways, you may pick this up for the track more than the cars, although the vehicles are fun to drive in isolation. It’s just that most league racers still prefer GT3.
If you are looking for the complete GT2 grid, you’ll need this plus the aforementioned Challengers Pack. This is where the Ferrari and Lamborghini reside - each not technically GT2 spec, but were allowed to race in GT2 competitions in the real world and consequently are too in ACC.
- Red Bull Ring
- KTM X-Bow GT2
- Porsche 935
- Maserati MC20 GT2
- Mercedes-AMG GT2
- Audi R8 LMS GT2
- Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport Evo
24H Nürburgring Pack - $/€12.99
This is it, the tortuous 24H Nürburgring Nordschleife. Fans of Competizione had long campaigned for its inclusion, and a change of event calendars by the GT World Challenge organisers finally allowed it to happen.
All this includes is the German venue, but it’s worth every penny.
- Nürburgring Nordschleife (24H layout)
Bundles
You can, of course, purchase ACC and then select individual DLC packs to pick up when the time, and budget, suit. Alternatively, there are some bundles.
Assetto Corsa Competizione 2024 Pack Bundle - $/€63.87
This is the base ACC experience, plus the two most recent DLC packs, in one set for one price.
- Assetto Corsa Competizione
- GT2 Pack (GT2 cars and the Red Bull Ring track)
- 24H Nürburgring Pack (Nürburgring Nordschleife track)
Purchasing this bundle is cheaper than picking up the individual packs, but you are still missing the majority of newer GT3 cars - which is what most drivers race online.
Assetto Corsa Competizione Ultimate Edition - $/€118.90
This offers the best value and convenience. The Ultimate Edition bundle includes every aforementioned DLC pack, for roughly 30% less than buying everything separately.
It’s the best deal out there, but that still means over $/€100 up-front.
- Assetto Corsa Competizione
- GT2 Pack
- GT4 Pack
- 24h Nurburgring Pack
- American Track Pack
- British GT Pack
- Intercontinental GT Pack
- Challengers Pack
- 2020 GT World Challenge Pack
- 2023 GT World Challenge Pack
Steam Sales
ACC is routinely on sale via Steam, be that in a themed sale (such as Autumn Sale, or Winter Sale, for example) or when its publisher 505 Games decides to reduce it on a whim.
If you are interested in the Ultimate Edition, add it to your wish list and then you’ll be emailed when it is available at a discount.
