Portland International Raceway

It’s easy to think this stalwart of IndyCar and NASCAR-support series was already available for iRacing, but not true.
This 64-year-old Oregon circuit, which also recently hosted Formula E, is diminutive in stature, but a serious challenge. The final section, in particular, can be very easy to make a mistake around, and overtaking chances are at a premium.
Legends Car Update

A popular single-make car type, the Legends Ford ‘34 Coupe is meant to look old, but in the case of iRacing, its recreation was ancient too.
At last, with Season 2, this compact, rear-wheel-drive, racer is now updated with new textures and more accurate physics. It’s a riot to drive, too. It’s sure to be a popular class over the coming months.
ARCA Cars

Below NASCAR’s pinnacle, the Cup Series, sits the Xfinity Series. Then, below that, is ARCA, which has been notable only by its absence until now.
For such a stock-car heavy simulation, their omission was strange, but now these V8 beasts are available, closely matching their real-world Ford, Toyota and Chevrolet counterparts. Now, it means that an accurate NASCAR ladder is available for iRacing members. Long overdue.
3D Kerbs

Six tracks have now been updated with the highly accurate and painstakingly recreated three-dimensional kerbs system.
So, while the rest of these venues will remain familiar, you must now pay greater attention to track limits, as running over these kerbs could send serious shockwaves through your wheel.
This time, Circuito de Jerez, Kansas Speedway, MotorLand Aragón, Rudskogen Motorsenter, Sandown International Motor Raceway, and Winton Motor Raceway have received a kerb update.
GTP and LMH Tyres

This is the least flashy, and the most important change. Recently, the popular GTP and LMH cars on iRacing have been afflicted with tyres that simply aren’t accurate enough. This led to lap times not even close to the real-world - a tad embarrassing for a dedicated simulation platform.
This has been amended, thanks to a revised tyre model and tweaked aero performance for these cars, which includes the likes of the BMW M Hybrid and Ferrari 499P. This also makes for potentially dicey opening laps, as in the real world, these vehicles do not use tyre warmers, which is now replicated within the simulation.
However, an all-new hybrid system for Ferrari, which is desperately needed, is still months away.
